The Southwestern
Xterra Club was formed in August of 1999 to represent Xterra enthusiasts
and their interests. We work with local Nissan dealerships, and aftermarket
suppliers to supply quality parts and services to our members for discounted
pricing. We also work with Nissan to establish communications between
owners and the people that help make the Xterra a reality, so future owners
will benefit from our experiences.
We gather for meetings
quarterly, and have at least one activity per month, except for December.
We drive off-road trails, camp out, bike, hike, dine, and travel to points
of interest. Sometimes, we just hang out and share stories and compare
vehicles and accessories.
We have grown to
over 80 members, and continue to spread throughout the region. We have
members in Texas and Oklahoma, and serve any interested persons in those
states, as well as Louisiana, Arkansas and New Mexico. We are made up
of people from different walks of life with a common desire to share our
experiences and our love for our Xterras. We have 2 local chapters to
better serve our widely dispersed members. Our first chapter was in the
San Antonio/Austin are (Texas Hill Country - SWXC-THC), and our latest
chapter is the Houston Metro Chapter (SWXC-HMC). See the Chapters
page for contact information.
We are a not for
profit organization. All funding, materials and services are currently
derived from membership dues, volunteers, or donations. Any excess funds
at the conclusion of each year are reserved for future use. SWXC
